In July 2023 Northern Stars Chorus became the fourth place bronze medalist at the World Championships of barbershop singing, in Louisville, Kentucky. Since then we've been competing in regional and international conventions in Europe - our most recent one at IABS in Killarney (Ireland) in October 2024, where the chorus won both the International Chorus competition and being the highest scoring group during the entire convention, with an avarage of 89.6 %.
Our latest achievment was winning the European Barbershop Convention 2025 Mixed Chorus category in May 2025, with an avarage of 88,6. In the summer, we went to compete in the Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention in Denver, Colorado (USA) where we finished with a score of 86.3 with our brand new competition set that challenged the traditional barbershop world including a never before seen rocket launch in the middle of our set. Upcoming adventures...
- In March 2026 we will go to Wuppertal, Germany to compete in BMF2026 | BinG! - Barbershop in Germany e.V.
- In April 2026 we look forward to compete again in the Society of Nordic Barbershop Singers | convention again in Uppsala, Sweden
Northern Stars Chorus is a mixed barbershop chorus with members from all over the Nordic countries. We are currently the Nordic and European champions in mixed barbershop.
The chorus is run under the masterful direction of Rasmus Krigström, with his team of Sanna Berndts, Anna Rosenberg, and Henrik Rosenberg assisting. Like stars in the sky, each one shines brilliantly and clearly with a unique persona.
